As we near the halfway point of 2020, we can look back on what has already been a historically challenging year. It makes us all the more grateful for you who pray and give for the establishment of new churches, and for the leaders that are serving communities around the world.
Last month, we shared some of the many ways that church plants are engaging and serving people in their neighborhoods during the pandemic. This month, we are more thankful than ever for the nearly 4000 of you who receive these updates and pray for these new churches and leaders.
As you pray now for justice and peace in the cities where we serve, perhaps this recent message from Renaissance Church in Harlem can help form your prayers:
You make a difference:
- Pray for wisdom and courage for our church planters to continue to serve well in their neighborhoods and cities.
- Continue to pray for the churches that are currently in the "pre-launch" phase: Oakland, Greater Miami, Cincinnati, and Manhattan.
- Check out the latest church plant projects, and select some to pray for by name.
- Invite others to join in receiving these prayer updates. Here’s an easy link to share: orchardgroup.org/pray
